Posts are an integral part of any shade structure as they are the structural component and must withstand all conditions and that’s why we ensure ours are galvanized.
Galvanizing is where the steel is submersed in molten zinc and when the zinc reacts with the steel a protective coating is formed. This coating improves the steels anti-corrosion performance to ensure it lasts as long as possible with little to no maintenance.
We use Australian Duragal steel, as it ensures a fully bonded galvanized coating and a surface conversion coating is applied. This improves the resistance to white rusting and the adhesion of paint and powder coatings. We invest in high quality steel to ensure a long lasting safe structure for your family, employees and community. Be aware of shade sail provider’s that use cheaper Chinese steel as they do not use adequate corrosion preventative techniques such as hot dip galvanizing.
We over-engineer our posts and footings to ensure structural integrity, longevity and superior performance. They are also installed at a greater depth than required to ensure your shade sail will be safe and structurally sound for years to come.
There are a range of different caps available for the top of our posts; however at Yarra Shade we always recommend welded caps for longevity and aesthetics.
We provide you with the choice of either square or round posts to suit your design and setting.
