DIY Shade Sails

Our DIY shade sails packages include either Comshade 90 or Commercial 95 shade cloth fabric, which can be custom sized to suit your requirements providing it meets safety standards. We will supply you with 50mm webbing edge, which is the best practice tensioning method for shade sails. The DIY package also includes stainless D rings for each corner, 316 marine grade stainless steel D shackles and turnbuckles for each corner of the shade sail. This ensures you will be fully equipped for your DIY installation. Essentially our DIY shade sails use the same materials and fabrics as our full service shade sails you just have to construct it yourself.

What you will need to consider when installing DIY Shade Sails:

• We supply you with the materials and the rest is up to you.

• You can use your own fittings or purchase fittings from Yarra Shade Co.

• You will need to provide your own fasteners, such as bolts and screws, as Yarra Shade Co does not assess the site and fixing requirements with DIY packages.

• Yarra Shade Co take no responsibility for poorly designed or installed DIY sails or any damage poor design or installation may do to buildings, other property or injuries to people.

When are DIY Shade Sails a good option?

Our DIY shade sails are suited to both commercial and residential applications; however you are required to install all posts and fixings. You will also be required to take measurements for your shade cloth and we will make the sail and install the shade cover for you. They are great for providing shade over pools, outdoor patios and play areas as long as the installation area is relatively simple for you to insert the posts and fixings.

Warranty

• 1 year manufacturing warranty applies as long as the DIY Shade Sail has been properly designed and installed.

• 10 year fabric manufacturer’s warranty is applicable.
